Jack Benny Middle School recognizes that in order to ensure success in a diverse community and an even more diverse world, students and staff need to incorporate a perspective of multiculturalism in our academics and interactions with each other.
Teachers are encouraged to highlight the contributions of authors, mathematicians, freedom fighters, scientists, politicians, artists, musicians, and more throughout units of study. Students are encouraged to appreciate and recognize that history is full of a diverse set of people who have contributed successfully to our society and influence the way our world thinks. We respect the culture of every person in the Waukegan community and celebrate each other.
